First off, congrats to [livejournal.com profile] kugelblitz for finally getting to pry the talons of that darned Eagle out of his tunic! Yeowch! He's now headed back to Minas Tirith for the coronation, and there will be NO FLYING INVOLVED. NONE WHATSOEVER.

Well boys and girls, I'm thinking that after the end of this year, I will either stop doing these updates completely, or at least cut down on the info I provide to make it a little easier on myself. Right now it takes me over an hour to collect the data, put it in a readable form, and tweak whatever needs it. Our group is shrinking, too (down to 12 now). So perhaps the heyday of the Middle Earth Adventurers Club has come and gone.

Long walkers this week: [livejournal.com profile] tacnukesoul and [livejournal.com profile] lonebear, with over a shield's worth -- and that's it! However, [livejournal.com profile] silmaril is getting perilously close to completing her 100th shield. We're all waiting with bated breath, [livejournal.com profile] silmaril!

New shields:

- 93rd for [livejournal.com profile] tacnukesoul
- 99th for [livejournal.com profile] silmaril
- 121st for [livejournal.com profile] lonebear

As one of the originals, I would be sad if this goes away (although I am in awe at how long you've kept it going). It does help keep me motivated to fight that middle aged spread.

If we fell back to a shorter format, or to once every two weeks, that would work as well for me.

And if you're tired of doing it, I certainly understand. 3+ years is a LONG time.
I suppose I'd best hurry up if I want to see Isengard before I lose my audience.

Maybe another grownup could take over the task?
